Our product range includes opto-electronic bio-sensing devices for physiological and tissue vitality monitoring, intelligent imaging systems for automated cell colony counting and special hypoxia environmental work stations for analysing cell metabolism and function.

All our products are designed, developed and manufactured in-house by experienced scientists, engineers and technicians with R&D backgrounds.  Headquartered at purpose built facilities near Oxford, UK, we are a privately held company that is self-financed through its thriving sales.  Oxford Optronix’ success stems from the diverse applications of its high quality instrumentation, which is underpinned by a programme of continuous research and development and unmatched levels of customer service.  We are particularly proud of our close and long-established academic links with a number of Universities and Research Institutes with whom we continue to collaborate on a range of exciting R&D projects.

The Company’s product families include a range of bio-sensing solutions for direct monitoring of fundamental parameters affecting tissue vitality, including dissolved oxygen, blood perfusion and temperature.  These products have proved highly successful in a variety of research disciplines as diverse as oncology, ophthalmology and the neurosciences.  We are currently developing a number of key medical monitoring devices predicated on this technology, one of which will enter clinical trials in late 2013.

The Company’s portfolio also includes novel, intelligence-based imaging systems for automated mammalian cell colony counting. These devices provide very significant throughput enhancements for cancer biologists utilising the colony forming assay, a gold standard method for measuring the effects of radiation, chemotherapeutic drugs and other agents on cell viability in vitro.

More recently, we have developed a novel, cost-effective hypoxia workstation for the precise culturing and subsequent analysis of cells with respect to function and metabolism.  Called HypoxyLab, this ergonomic and easy to use  product provides a localized environment in which levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, temperature and humidity are precisely controlled within a class 2 HEPA filtered (contamination free), isolation chamber.
