Tail vein cannulas for rats

Instech rat tail vein cannulae feature a sharp 25ga (0.5mm OD) stainless steel needle with a segment of extension tubing. Insert directly into the tail vein of a restrained rat for manual blood sampling or dosing. Since it is a sharp needle it is not designed to be taped in place for an extended period. Access the cannula through an included PinPort™ to create a closed, low-dead-volume system that seals shut when the syringe is removed.
