The SPR-878 rat pressure-volume catheter is designed to measure simultaneous left or right ventricular pressure and volume in larger rats. Built to the highest quality standards, the catheter combines a proven Mikro-Tip® pressure sensor with four electrodes to collect real-time pressure-volume data.
Due to its larger electrode spacing, SPR-878 is useful when the length of the subject’s left ventricle (LV) exceeds 9 mm. With a pressure sensor diameter of 2F and 1.1F along the catheter body, this model offers the ideal combination of durability and ease of use for hemodynamic studies utilizing larger sized rats.
The SPR-878 provides a 12.5 cm usable catheter length and a 12 mm electrode spacing for optimized ventricular volume measurement in larger rats.
For complete hemodynamic analysis, use the SPR-878 mouse pressure-volume catheter with the MPVS Ultra® or MPVS Ultra® Single Segment system, a modular PowerLab data acquisition system with LabChart analysis software.
