Ventilated animal recovery unit
The Animal Recovery Unit (ARU) is specifically designed to support animals requiring an elevated temperature within the cage environment and housed temporarily until they are ready to return to the standard caging. The unit is a portable rodent housing unit functioning as a standard IVC, with the added feature of heating, in order to provide for research animals’ post-operative needs and comfort.
The ARU’s heating element is protected for user safety, and works together with an internal fan to circulate warmed air throughout all of the cages. The unit has a range of temperatures, and quickly and easily achieves ranges from ambient/room temperature to 36,7°C (98°F).
The rack structure and cage components are autoclavable and washable. The environmental control unit can be sterilized using VHP or similar methods. Built to the highest standards, the Allentown ARU is a quality product that will provide a safe environment for animals requiring special temperature conditions and recovery time.
