TRIO™ MPC-145 — 3-Axis Diagonal Micromanipulator System
The TRIO™ MPC-145 System from Sutter Instrument combines the compact MPC-100 integrated ROE/controller with the highly stable MP-845 micromanipulator to deliver precision motorized positioning for electrophysiology, patch clamp, and multi-pipette applications. The MP-845 builds on the proven lead-screw architecture of the TRIO-245 while adding precision cross-roller bearings for even tighter mechanical tolerances and improved stability.

- Position coordinates (relative or absolute) displayed directly on the ROE
- Logarithmic acceleration algorithm — smooth, intuitive motion as ROE knobs are turned faster; no need to stop and change speed settings
- Software-configurable synthetic 4th axis: any angle 0–90° for diagonal (axial) pipette movement — ideal for advancing/retracting along the pipette axis
- Y-axis lockout function (DIP switch) — restricts movement to X/Z only during Home and Work position moves
- Home and Work position memory for automated, reproducible pipette exchange
- Can control 1 or 2 MP-845 manipulators from a single MPC-100 unit
