The Phantom2™ from Allentown is the most advanced animal transfer station on the market, delivering industry-leading ISO Class 3 airflow — 10 times cleaner than ISO Class 4 — through double HEPA filtration. This performance has been independently verified by a third-party ISO 14644 accredited clean room certifier, ensuring the highest level of protection for animals, research, and personnel.
At the core of the Phantom2 is the new Active Barrier Containment™ (ABC) system: an outside-of-sash air curtain barrier that provides an additional layer of containment beyond the HEPA-filtered downflow, minimising cross-contamination risk during cage changes and animal procedures. Combined with the redesigned upper HEPA filter, new air diffuser and upper glass sashes, the Phantom2 sets a new standard for biosafety in the vivarium.
Ergonomics have been completely rethought: the increased work surface area with a dished work surface gives more room to operate, while the colour touchscreen allows users to programme variable heights, adjust lighting (including a new RED light mode for circadian-sensitive species), and activate ECO modes for energy-efficient operation. The unit is lighter than its predecessor, improving mobility between animal rooms.
